History McCune Electronics originated in 1962 in Youngstown, Ohio installing 2-way radios. McCune gained the NuTone and Dukane dealerships in 1965. A separation in 1967 allowed Jim Childers to acquire the electronics division, renaming it Radi-O-Sound Communications and expanded the business to include audio, nurse call and fire alarm systems. Strayco Inc. in Salem, Ohio already dealt with TV repair, CCTV and satellites when in 1997 they merged with Radi-O-Sound and moved it to downtown Salem. In 2012, Radi-O-Sound expanded and moved into the Salem Industrial Park. |
